Summary

A length of ditch, possibly of medieval to post medieval date, was identified as a cropmark on an aerial photograph. It may be a continuation of features mapped 65m to the north (NHER 20028), which perhaps form part of Baconsthorpe medieval settlement. Modern aerial imagery indicates that the site now lies within a private garden; its current condition is not known.

Map

November 2020. National Mapping Programme (NMP) Data Clean-Up.
This site was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Thetford, Norwich and the A11 Corridor NMP project, but not recorded. This record was written 7 years later, and therefore the information that can be included is limited, and the interpretation is more tentative than it might be otherwise.
