Summary

A geophysical survey undertaken in 2009 revealed no evidence for archaeologically-significant remains. It should though be noted that the geology of this area is known to create conditions that are not particularly conducive to this kind of survey.

Full Description

May-June 2009. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of proposed development area (Field 7).
No potentially archaeologically-significant anomalies were identified in this field.
The bulk of the anomalies present are likely to represent variations in the natural drift geology.
Two linear anomalies were the result of slightly slack overhead power lines.
