Summary

A geophysical survey undertaken in 2009 revealed no evidence for archaeologically-significant remains. It should though be noted that the geology of this area is known to create conditions that are not particularly conducive to this kind of survey.

May-June 2009. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of proposed development area (Fields 11 and 12).
No potentially archaeologically-significant anomalies were identified in these fields.
A linear negative anomaly running parallel to the western edge of the southern field is likely to represent the edge furrow of modern ploughing. Magnetic noise at the southern end of this field is probably reflects disturbed ground.
