Full Description
September-October 2010. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of proposed development area (Field 12).
This survey revealed little of archaeological interest.
The only response of note was a weakly positive linear anomaly that corresponds with a former field boundary depicted on the Wymondham tithe map of 1839 (S1).
A large discrete anomaly relates to a modern telegraph pole.
See report (S2) for further details. The results of this work are also summarised in (S3).
P. Watkins (HES), 11 February 2021.
