Summary

A geophysical survey of this site undertaken in 2019 identified no responses of clear archaeological significance. The only anomalies of note correspond with former field boundaries and an infilled pond shown on 19th-century maps.

September-October 2019. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of proposed development area (Area 8).
This survey revealed no anomalies of obvious archaeological significance.
Although two linear anomalies were identified both clearly correspond with former field boundaries marked on the Wymondham tithe map of 1839 (S1).
A strong discrete area of ferrous disturbance coincides with a former pond visible on the Ordnance Survey Six-inch First Edition map (S2).
