Full Description
September-October 2019. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of proposed development area (Area 12).
This survey revealed no anomalies of obvious archaeological significance.
A discrete area of magnetic disturbance at the northern edge of the field coincides with a former pond shown on the Hettersett tithe map of 1846 (S1).
A single north-to-south aligned linear anomaly crossing the centre of the site corresponds with a 19th-century former field boundary shown on the Ordnance Survey Six-inch First Edition map (S2).
Information from draft report. Final version awaited.
