Full Description
February-March 2019. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of proposed development site (Area 1).
This survey identified nothing of obvious archaeological significance.
The only responses of note were a small number of strong discrete anomalies in the southernmost part of the field. The nature of these is uncertain but they could represent infilled pits.
A series of weak, regularly spaced, parallel linear anomalies are likely to represent drainage features.
See report (S1) for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 13 February 2021.
