Full Description
October 2010-April 2011. Trial Trenching.
Excavation of two test pits at proposed site of directional drilling pit on route of Earlham Grid to Norwich Main Underground Diversion cable (Test Pits 1 and 2).
A significant depth of modern made ground was found to overlie a buried soil containing post-medieval material. This in turn lay directly above undisturbed natural sand.
See report (S1) for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 20 March 2021.
