Summary

A watching brief maintained during the excavation of a directional drill pit at this site in 2012 recorded no archaeologically-significant features. A black sandy peat was exposed at the base of the pit.

Monitoring of excavation of directional drill pit for electricity cable.
No archaeologically-significant features were exposed.
A black sandy peat containing hazel and alder branches was exposed at the base of the pit, which was overlain by a redeposited natural sand.
