Summary

A watching brief maintained during groundworks at this site between 2012 and 2013 recorded no archaeologically-significant features or deposits. A significant proportion of the development area was found to have been disturbed by past building works and various service trenches.

Monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of extensions to West Acre Theatre and new track.
The various footing trenches excavated revealed no archaeologically-significant remains. A significant proportion of the development area was found to have been disturbed by past building works and various service trenches.
The excavations for the new track involved the removal of only 0.2m of topsoil so also revealed nothing of interest.
No finds were recovered.
