Full Description
April-May 2020.
Found within 50m of each other:
Medieval coin hoard of 4 silver coins (pennies of Henry II and John). A very worn cut halfpenny of John found in the same area may be part of the hoard, although on balance this is though unlikely. If the cut halfpenny is indeed unrelated to the hoard then its probable date of depostion/loss is c.1210-1220.
Information from PAS import.
These coins were disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2020 T855) and returned to the finder.
P. Watkins (HES), 13 May 2024.
