NHER 65179 (Monument record) - Undated ditches and possible pits

November 2019-February 2020. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of land on route of proposed North Tuddenham to Easton A47 Improvement Works (Area F1).
No potentially archaeologically-significant anomalies were identified.
Areas of magnetic disturbance around the margins of the site and scattered discrete dipolar anomalies were probably caused by ferrous material in the topsoil (most likely modern debris).

July-October 2020. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of land on route of proposed North Tuddenham to Easton A47 Improvement Works (Area 1; Trenches 1-7).
The seven trenches excavated revealed only a small number of scattered ditches and discrete features, none of which produced any dating evidence. The ditches were mostly aligned either north-north-west to south-south-east or north-to-south. The discrete features included two possible pits but the majority were thought to be of probable natural origin.
No finds were recovered.
