Summary

A geophysical survey of this site undertaken in 2019/2020 identified no potentially archaeologically-significance anomalies. Subsequent trial trenching in 2020 had similarly negative results, with no features of interest exposed.

Magnetometer survey of land on route of proposed North Tuddenham to Easton A47 Improvement Works (Area F21).
This survey identified no anomalies of potential archaeologically interest.
Areas of magnetic disturbance around the margins of the field and scattered discrete dipolar anomalies were probably caused by ferrous material in the topsoil (most likely modern debris).

July-October 2020. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of land on route of proposed North Tuddenham to Easton A47 Improvement Works (Area 25; Trenches 272-278).
The seven trenches excavated at this location revealed no archaeologically-significant features or deposits.
No unstratified finds were recovered.
