Summary

This two-storey farmhouse dates to the early 19th century and is built in a 'Holkham estate Samuel Wyatt style'. It has gault brick walls and a tall, steeply pitched pantile roof.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Farmhouse. Early 19th century. Gault brick, black glazed pantile roof. Two storeys, five irregular bays, in Holkham estate Samuel Wyatt style…five-sided hipped brick and slate roofed porch addition with two sashes and central part glazed door c.1900, internal door with fanlight, to north 20th-century door replacement under rubbed brick arch...First floor platband, eaves moulded brick cornice, at north east and north west angle two cast iron fluted roundel purlin iron heads. Tall steeply pitched roof."

Due to an apparent confusion with The Old Crabbe Hall (NHER 20874) the listing designation for Crabbe Hall Farmhouse was originally associated with an erroneous grid refence that placed it at TF 83405 42158. As a result the need for a separate record had not previously been recognised.
