THE BELOW FEATURE WAS ORIGINALLY RECORDED AS PART OF NHER 36421.

October 2021. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The cropmarks of a previously recorded (see NHER 36421) possible later prehistoric trackway can be seen on aerial photographs (S1-S2). A possible terminus of the trackway is visible at the north end of the feature. It is possible that terminus may be the result of geological cropmarks giving the impression of a section of ditch joining the two parallel linear ditches of the trackway. Therefore, the section of ditch which may relate to a terminus has been mapped by extent as it is uncertain as to whether the feature is geological or archaeological in origin. The date of the trackway is uncertain, although a later prehistoric date is possible. It has been previously suggested (see NHER36421) that the feature is too narrow for a Neolithic cursus and most likely relates to a trackway. The trackway is also on the similar approximate alignment to a possible Neolithic long barrow (NHER 64276) and a possible Bronze Age ring ditch (NHER 64277) recorded to the east. The trackway is cut by a post medieval field boundary which is recorded on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map (S3).
