Summary

A possible oval enclosure, perhaps the site of a Neolithic long barrow or mortuary enclosure, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. The archaeological significance of the feature is uncertain; it could instead be a reflection of the underlying geology. The southern side of the enclosure appears to overlie or coincide with a natural feature, possibly a former watercourse, which is also visible as a cropmark.

A possible oval enclosure, perhaps the site of a Neolithic long barrow or mortuary enclosure, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1). The southern side of the enclosure appears to overlie or coincide with a natural feature, possibly a former watercourse, which is also visible as a cropmark. A few other cropmarks are visible in the surrounding field, but these appear to be either geological in origin, post medieval field boundaries or recent agricultural activity.
