Evaluation of proposed development site.
The two trenches excavated revealed no archaeologically-significant features or deposits.
Exploratory sondages confirmed that the natural clays exposed beneath the subsoil in both trenches were at least 1m deep. These were also shown to be undifferentiated deposits, with no evidence for material of marine origin.
No finds were recovered.
