6 Market Place. Information on this building was previously included in the records for 5 Market Place (NHER 40190, formerly titled '5 and 6 Market Place') and 7 Market Place (NHER 12497).
October 1951. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description excerpt:
"House. Late 18th/early 19th century. Stuccoed brick. Low pitched slate roof with gabled ends. Three storeys. Three windows, sashes with glazing, bars...Central doorway in moulded case with cornice hood on console brackets, fielded panel door the top panels glazed. Brick chimney stack. 17th-century gabled wing at rear, roughcast, large brick chimney stack."

Additional information is that the house has a double angled chimney above a Tudor fireplace, with timber-framed rear wing which may have been a separate house.
