Summary

Originally a mid-17th-century house set back from the street, this building was completely encased in the mid 19th century and then altered in the 20th century. It is red brick with reused cast iron balcony railings and a pantile roof. Its cellar contained the remains of an arched doorway that led into the former ground floor. Other internal features of note include an early 19th-century stick-baluster staircase.

Listing Description excerpt:
"House, now offices. Mid-17th-century house completely built around in early and mid 19th century, altered 20th century. Red brick under a pantiled roof. Three storeys; three-window range. Late 20th-century ground floor...Reused cast-iron balcony railings...Gabled roof.
INTERIOR: the original 17th-century house was set back from the street: in the cellar are remains of an arched doorway into the former ground floor. One sunk-quadrant moulded bridging beam to first floor and, in east wall, a bricked-in mullioned window. Early 19th-century stick-baluster staircase with turned newels and a ramped handrail".
