Summary

An early 19th-century brick garden wall, undulating in a series of curves when viewed from above. One of a series of serpentine garden walls associated with Nos 63 to 67 Southtown Road, two of which have been listed Grade II.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Boundary wall to north of No.67 (No.67 not included).
Garden wall. Early 19th century. Brick. Serpentine or crinkle-crankle on plan. Moulded brick coping."

An adjacent serpentine wall to the south of 66 Southtown Road was also listed Grade II in 1974 (NHER 42965). It should be noted that the north and south garden walls of Nos 63, 64, 65, 66 and 67 Southtown Road all appear to be of similar form. It is possible that the two examples listed were simply the most visible, being as they flank the alleyway running between Southtown Road and Sacrets Lane.
