Full Description
January 2021. Metal-detecting. Elden Tours, Field I3. [1].
2 Late Iron Age coins. Although found 375m apart at [2] (in the direction of current ploughing) these Icenian silver units are both of a fairly rare type and were therefore likely lost or deposited together.
Information from PAS import.
This probable coin hoard was returned to the finders after being disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2021 T954).
A. Beckham (HES), 15 March 2022 and P. Watkins (HES), 26 January 2025.
