Summary

This brick bridge crosses the medieval moat (NHER 65485) at Stanfield Hall (NHER 9457). It was constructed during the 16th and 17th centuries, rebuilt during the with early 19th century rebuilding and subject to various repairs during the 20th century.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Bridge over moat. 16th and 17th century, with early 19th-century rebuilding and various 20th-century repairs. English bond and Flemish bond brick. Two round arches with buttress piers either side and between. String course over arches. Parapets splay outwards. The parish boundary between Wymondham and Ketteringham runs along the centre line of the bridge."
