The cropmarks of an undated ring ditch, probably the site of a Bronze Age round barrow, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). The ring ditch is one of several recorded in this area (see NHER 65000, NHER 65002, NHER 21819), which together appear to have been part of a dispersed cemetery or funerary landscape. A small pit-like cropmark located towards the western side of the ring ditch could mark the site of a funerary deposit. The ring ditch appears to be overlain, but possibly also partially respected, by linear ditches of unknown date (recorded as part of NHER 49397). The cropmarks of a palaeochannel, which may have been significant in the choice of location for the barrows, are visible a short distance (45m) to the south.
