Map

February 2016. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of extension at side of existing dwelling.
The narrow foundation trenches excavated revealed two possible pits. Although neither produced any finds, their cuts were not discernible within the subsoil layer present, suggesting they were potentially of some antiquity.
Unstratified finds recovered from the subsoil and topsoil deposits included post-medieval pottery sherds, a post-medieval coin, a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy ring and a post-medieval crotal bell.
