A row of 19 ashlar pet tombstones retaining dates ranging from 1891 to 1922 located along a flint rubble and brick wall.
The cemetery belonged to members of the Colman family who occupied Carrow Abbey House (NHER 296) during this time and was positioned adjacent to a serpentine garden path.
The tombstones are all of similar size, the later ones being slightly smaller, and have ashlar kerbs on 3 sides, with the fourth side formed by the wall. The inscriptions remain in good condition and it is thought likely that the pets were all dogs.
The tombstones abut a flint rubble and brick wall which is supported by brick buttresses on the east side and exhibits signs of several phases of rebuilding. The wall is believed to be part of the original precinct wall of Carrow Priory (NHER 296). The last phase of wall rebuilding can be dated to the late-20th century where the southern end includes machine-made red brick.
