Full Description
Serpentine wall to west of Eden Close, originally within grounds of Thorpe Lodge (NHER 4650).
Previously recorded under NHER 4650.
November 1973. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description excerpt:
" 'Crinkle Crankle' wall. Early 19th century. Red brick with flint rubble plinth. Rounded brick coping. Small 20th-century brick pillar at left end. 20th-century round-headed arch to right; tall brick pillar with stone cap at right end. Extensive rebuilding, especially in the right half but much of the original fabric survives opposite Nos 2-5 (consec.) Eden Close…"
