Summary

Metal-detecting in 2021 and 2024 recovered Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval token; a post-medieval jetton and a number of other, undated and Late Iron Age/Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undated lead bead; a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch fragment; a Roman brooch and tweezers; Late Saxon stirrup terminals and an Anglo-Scandinavian sword pommel; medieval and post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval leash swivel, copper alloy seal matrix and lead pot mend; a medieval/post-medieval probable purse bar fragment, copper alloy probable vessel repair rivet, iron horseshoes and a lead weight and a post-medieval probable hinge plate and unidentified lead object.

Undated lead bead.
1 Roman coin, a brooch and tweezers.
Late Saxon stirrup terminals and an Anglo-Scandinavian sword pommel (S1).
2 medieval coins, buckles, strap ends, a lace chape, folding strap clasp, copper alloy seal matrix and lead pot mend.
Medieval/post-medieval iron horseshoes and a lead weight.
3 post-medieval coins, 1 token, 1 jetton, buckles, a probable hinge plate and lead unidentified object.
