Summary

Two pieces of heat-crazed flint and a bullet casing from a .303 round were recovered during monitoring for the Norfolk Ponds project. The flint fragments are likely of Late Prehistoric date and relate to the hearth of possible Bronze Age date (NHER 2842) discovered approximately 30m to the northwest whilst digging wartime trenches. The bullet casing is likely of World War Two date.

Several artefacts were recovered during monitoring of Neatherd duck pond for the Norfolk Ponds Project.
Two fragments of heat-crazed flint were recovered from the [surface?] of the north side of the pond. These are likely of later Prehistoric date and relate to the hearth of possible Bronze Age date (NHER 2842) discovered approximately 30m to the northwest whilst digging wartime trenches.
A bullet casing from a fired .303 round was also recovered from the mud. This is likely of World War Two date.
