Environmental Impact Assessment of the potential impacts of the proposed Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm on the historic environment. This study incorporated the results of an initial walkover survey and the first phases of geophysical survey.

November 2021-March 2022. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (Areas 9 and 903).
This survey recorded only one notable response – an east-north-east to west-south-west aligned linear anomaly towards the northern end of the site that corresponds with a former field boundary depicted on the Bodham tithe map (S2). A north-east to south-west aligned linear at the northern end of the site marks the line of a modern service and the entire area to the south is obscured by a extensive ferrous spread.

February-June 2022. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (P2TT10; Trenches 165-172).
The eight trenches excavated at this location revealed no archaeologically significant features or deposits. No finds were recovered.
