Environmental Impact Assessment of the potential impacts of the proposed Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm on the historic environment. This study incorporated the results of an initial walkover survey and the first phases of geophysical survey.

November 2021-March 2022. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (Area 901).
This survey recorded nothing of obvious archaeological significance. The only responses of note are a cluster of irregular linear and discrete anomies at the east end of the site. These are regarded as being of undetermined origin but are unlikely to be of archaeological interest – particularly as they coincide with one of three broad bands of magnetic disturbance regarded as being natural in origin.

February-June 2022. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (P2TT11; Trenches 173-176).
The four trenches excavated at this location revealed no archaeologically significant features or deposits. No finds were recovered.
