Environmental Impact Assessment of the potential impacts of the proposed Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm on the historic environment. This study incorporated the results of an initial walkover survey and the first phases of geophysical survey.

November 2021-March 2022. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (Area 18).
This survey identified nothing of definite archaeological interest. The most notable responses were a small number of scattered strong discrete anomalies. These are though all regarded as being of undetermined origin and do not necessarily represent archaeologically-significant remains.
Numerous discrete dipolar 'spikes' and various larger, amorphous areas of magnetic disturbance were probably caused by ferrous material on or close to the surface (most likely modern debris). A series of large amorphous anomalies at the northern and southern ends of the site are of probable natural origin.
