Map

February-March 2017. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on possible route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (GS07).
This site was part of one of 26 locations identified as a priority for examination due to their archaeological potential.
The survey identified a number of linear anomalies, including a north-east to south-west aligned response that corresponds with a former field boundary shown on the Saxthorpe tithe map (S1). Several weak, fragmentary linear anomalies in the southern half of the site may also represent infilled ditches, although a natural origin is also possible.
Various linear anomalies in the northern half of the site are likely to be the result of recent agricultural activity.
Information from draft report. Final version awaited.
