Environmental Impact Assessment of the potential impacts of the proposed Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm on the historic environment. This study incorporated the results of an initial walkover survey and the first phases of geophysical survey.

November 2021-March 2022. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (Area 53).
This survey identified nothing of definite archaeological significance. A number of irregular and curvilinear anomalies regarded as being of undetermined origin potentially represent archaeological remains although most are probably the result of natural variations in the soils or underlying geology.

February-June 2022. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (P3TT25; Trenches 977-984).
The eight trenches excavated at this location revealed only two ditches, one aligned north-to-south and the other east-to-west. Neither produced any dating evidence.
