Summary

Trial trenching at this site in 2022 revealed little in the way of archaeologically-significant remains, with only a single pit of possible Late Saxon date recorded. This substantial feature contained three Late Saxon pottery sherds, along with a small amount of what was presumably residual Roman pottery.
