Environmental Impact Assessment of the potential impacts of the proposed Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm on the historic environment. This study incorporated the results of an initial walkover survey and the first phases of geophysical survey.

November 2021-March 2022. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (Area 73).
This survey identified a number of fragmentary linear anomalies at the eastern end of the site, although these are recorded as being of undetermined origin and therefore not necessarily associated with archaeologically-significant remains.
Much of the central part of the site was obscured by two bands of magnetic disturbance likely to be associated with buried modern services.

February-June 2022. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (P2TT95; Trenches 783-789).
A total of six trenches were excavated at this location, three at the western end of the site and three at the eastern end (avoiding buried services known to be running through the central area). A north-west to south-east aligned ditch exposed is one of the easternmost trenches was the only feature recorded. No finds were recovered.
