Summary

A geophysical survey of this site in 2021/2022 identified no clear evidence for archaeologically-significant remains, with a single linear anomaly of undetermined origin the only response of any note. Subsequent trial trenching had entirely negative results.

Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (Area 7604).
The only response of note was a single north-west to south-east aligned linear anomaly, although this is regarded as being of undetermined origin and therefore not necessarily associated with archaeologically-significant remains.

February-June 2022. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (P2TT97; Trenches 796 and 797).
The two trenches excavated at this location revealed no archaeologically-significant features or deposits. No finds were recovered.
