Environmental Impact Assessment of the potential impacts of the proposed Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm on the historic environment. This study incorporated the results of an initial walkover survey and the first phases of geophysical survey.

Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (Areas 76 and 77).
This survey identified nothing of likely archaeological interest. Although various linear and discrete anomalies were recorded these are all probably either natural in origin or the result of recent activity on the site.

February-June 2022. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (P2TT101; Trenches 825-831).
The seven trenches excavated at this location revealed a single north-east to south-west aligned ditch and three pits. The latter were all uncovered within a single trenches and included two intercutting examples. No finds were recovered.
