May 2018. Desk-based Assessment.

November 2021-March 2022. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (Area 8001).
Although this survey identified a range of anomalies none were deemed to be potentially archaeologically significant. There was no evidence for surviving sub-surface remains associated with three linear cropmarks previously mapped at this location (two part of a small group recorded as NHER 52029 and one part of a group recorded as NHER 52025)
Information from draft report. Final version awaited.
P. Watkins (HES), 27 January 2023.

February-June 2022. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site on proposed route of Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm onshore cable (P3TT31; Trenches 1249-1253).
The five trenches excavated at this location revealed no archaeologically-significant features or deposits.
Although one the trenches coincided with a previously mapped cropmark (part of a small group recorded as NHER 52029) there was no evidence for surviving sub-surface remains.
