Summary

A geophysical survey of this site in 2021 identified no anomalies of obvious archaeological significance. The survey results were however dominated by the magnetic disturbance caused by an extensive spread of ferrous debris. This was most likely the result of activity taking place at Downham Market airfield (NHER 2455). An area of concrete hardstanding noted during the survey had probably also been associated with the World War Two airfield.
