Map

May 2021. Aerial Investigation and Mapping.
Examination of available aerial imagery and lidar data for proposed route of Anglian Water Bexwell to Bury St Edmunds pipeline.
Earthworks that appear to represent a group of adjoining ditched rectilinear enclosures are visible on visualised lidar data of this location (S1). A number of irregular mounds and hollows visible within the enclosures have also been recorded, although these could be the result of tree clearance. A possible Roman date has been tentatively suggested for these remains, although it is also noted that they coincide in part with small coverts shown on historic Ordnance Survey maps.
Information from draft report. Final version awaited.
