Summary

A geophysical survey in 2020/2021 identified a range of linear and discrete anomalies in the northern half of this site that potentially represent archaeologically-significant remains. This is though far from certain - it is possible that some, or all were either natural in origin or the result of recent agricultural activity.

November 2020-March 2021. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Norwich Western Link (Area 9).
This survey identified a range of linear and discrete positive anomalies in the northern half of the site, although these are all regarded as being of undetermined origin. They are though clearly distinct from a series of likely natural anomalies recorded to the south, suggesting they could potentially represent archaeologically-significant remains. It is though possible that some, or all were either natural in origin or the result of recent agricultural activity.
See report (S1) for further details.
