Full Description
November 2020-March 2021. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Norwich Western Link (Area 7).
This survey identified nothing of potential archaeological interest.
Although numerous discrete anomalies were recorded these are all likely to be the result of variations in the underlying geology. Scattered dipolar 'spikes' were probably caused by ferrous material on or close to the surface, most likely modern debris.
See report (S1) for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 13 June 2026.
May-July 2022. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site on proposed route of Norwich Western Link (Field TT19; Trenches 52-59).
The eight trenches excavated at this location revealed no archaeologically-significant features or deposits.
Unstratified finds were limited to three worked flints of probable Neolithic/Bronze Age date.
See report (S2) for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 13 June 2026.
