Map

March 2017. Trial Trench.
Evaluation of proposed development site.
The single trench excavated revealed no archaeologically-significant features or deposits.
Natural deposits were overlain by what appear to be the remnants of a subsoil layer. This lay directly beneath the present tarmac surface, suggesting the site had seen at least a degree of past truncation.
No finds were recovered.
See report (S1) for further details.
