Summary

A watching brief maintained during the excavation of a pipe trench at this location in 2013 recorded no archaeologically-significant remains. Unstratified finds were limited to a small number of post-medieval, modern and undatable metal objects. These included a United States Army button.

Maintained during installation of new water main.
No archaeologically-significant remains were noted in this section of the narrow pipe trench excavated.
The small number of unstratified finds recovered at this location included a medieval/post-medieval biconical lead weight, post-medieval buttons and lead cloth seal, a 20th-century United States Army button and an undatable iron stud, lead ?weight and lead waste.
