Summary

Metal-detecting at this location in 2023 recovered Roman brooches and a gold finger ring; a gold sheet fragment of probable Saxon date; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval harness or strap fitting, harness mount, harness pendant, casket key and lead weight; a medieval/post-medieval spur rowel, handle attachment stud from chafing dish or furniture and writing lead and post-medieval harness mounts, a strap slide, clapper bell and end cap from scale-tang knife.

Roman brooches and gold probable finger ring.
Saxon gold sheet fragment.
Medieval buckles, strap ends, a lace chape, annular brooch, folding strap clasp, harness or strap fitting, harness mount, harness pendant, casket key and lead weight.
Medieval/post-medieval spur rowel, handle attachment stud from chafing dish or furniture and writing lead.
Post-medieval harness mounts, a hooked tag, button, strap slide, clapper bell and end cap from scale-tang knife.

The Roman gold ringer ring and the Saxon gold sheet fragment were both disclaimed as Treasure (Refs 2023 T1276 and 2023 T1279 respectively) and returned to the finder. The Roman ring is one of five gold objects discussed in web article (S1).
