The Airfields of Britain Conservation Trust website (S1) records this airfield as having been in operation between 2 September 1939 and 1942. It was used by No 26 Squadron and No 268 Squadron. Its parent/HQ airfield was Marham (NHER 4510) and it was succeeded by Downham Market (NHER 2455).
