Full Description
May 2017. Watching Brief.
Maintained during groundworks associated with construction of new residential dwelling.
The excavation of foundation trenches for the new building revealed no archaeologically-significant features or deposits. Ground reduction for a new driveway also exposed nothing of interest. The layers encountered were mostly associated with the demolition of the structures that had previously occupied the site.
No finds were recovered.
See report (S1) for further details.
