NHER 66585 (Negative evidence record) - Site where limited groundworks revealed no evidence for archaeologically-significant remains

Maintained during groundworks associated with the creation of a new area of reedbed adjacent to the River Thurne.
The excavation of a new dyke around the site revealed no archaeologically-significant remains. Although particular attention was paid in the area where earthwork banks and ditches of probable post-medieval date have been noted on aerial photographs (NHER 45086) no associated features were noted in the sides of the newly-cut dyke.
No finds were recovered.
