Full Description
June 2022. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Fragmented linear ditch features of an uncertain date are seen as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1-S2). It is possible that the features may have related to a series of boundary ditches. Geological cropmarks can be seen across the area and its possible that some of the features may be natural in origin. The cropmarks of post medieval boundaries recorded on the readily available historic maps (for example S3) are also visible on the consulted sources. As these features have been mapped in good detail on the historic maps, they have not been mapped as part of this project.
