Full Description
June 2022. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The cropmarks of a rectilinear enclosure of a possible medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). The date of the enclosure is uncertain although a medieval to post medieval date is possible. A gap in the ditch is visible at TG 2277 2734 which most likely relates to an entranceway. The enclosure is in close proximity to an area of possible medieval to post medieval field boundaries and trackways (NHER 24978 and NHER 24979).
This feature was previously recorded as part of NHER 24978.
J. Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 30 June 2022.
